Edwards E2M28: high-capacity, dual-stage rotary vane vacuum pump delivering up to 21 CFM (33 m³/h) at 60Hz. It features an oil-sealed sliding-vane design, NW25 inlet connections, a gas ballast valve for water vapor handling, and an ultimate vacuum of 10⁻⁴ mbar.

Key Features & Maintenance
- Gas Ballast Control: Prevents condensation of process vapors inside the pump when handling condensable gases, such as water vapor (up to 700 g/hr capacity).
- Safety & Protection: Equipped with a thermal overload device (single-phase models) to prevent motor overheating. An internal oil distribution valve blocks oil suck back when stopped.
- Rebuild & Service: The pump was recently factory-rebuilt and has been maintained with regular oil changes & function tests thereafter.
